Has Syamashka arrived to Belaruskali to deny everything?

The administration of Belaruskali denies water inflow into a mine from upper water-bearing strata.

As informed by the press-service of the company, the progress of work aimed at brine inflow localization, was considered at the consultations with the participation of the first deputy Prime Minister of Belarus V. I. Syamashka.

All the arrangements are carried out according to schedule.

Collection of brine by heading sets of equipment to the retaining workings is carried out in a routine manner. The volume of workings allows retaining inflowing brines at the place of their escape.

According to monitoring of brine inflow since it started, there is a reducing trend. The chemical composition of the brines is table and shows that there is no connection with active water exchange zone.

Installation of pipes for brine drainage from south western direction to the north-eastern part of the mine field into a special mined-out zone. Works for construction of special water-proof barriers are carried out according to the schedule.

Surface drilling of observation well in the area of brine escape zone is carried out.

The company’s mines are operating in the normal mode.

It was stressed in the report that “recently printed and online mass media published a number of articles about the situation related to the brine escape at Mine Two of Belaruskali. They contained distorted and misleading information on this issue. These publications negatively influence the image of the enterprise, cause unhealthy frenzy and negative public image. True information is posted at the website of Belaruskali and in the media when it is received from official sources.”
