BSU Lyceum Lost Privileges

The document came into force on 8 December, but its publication remained unnoticed.

The dev.by website has found the decree of the Ministry of Education of November 9, 2021 № 243, which changed the rules of admission to lyceums. The document came into force on December 8, but its publication went unnoticed.

Among the major changes:

Examinations for all high schools will be held on the same dates, from June 16 to July 1. Previously, they were held from June 16 to June 21, and the BSU Lyceum could hold exams earlier, from May 10 to May 31.

The exams will be written only. Previously, oral, as well as a combination of oral and practical forms were allowed.

The Republican Institute for Knowledge Control (RIKZ) will develop tests and criteria for evaluation of their performance for all lyceums. Earlier they were prepared by departments of education of regional executive committees and Minsk City Executive Committee, and for the BSU lyceum - by the BSU itself.

Security measures

The admission committee will have to scan examination papers and give them to the RIKZ for storage on the day of the exam, before it starts checking.

Only those who get "positive grades," namely 6 or higher, will be admitted. Previously, this was not regulated.

Lyceums will be able to arrange additional admissions Aug. 11-17 if there are places available.
