Ukrainian troops are pressing on the flanks of the invaders.
The Russians continue to advance on Avdiivka. However, the situation on the map of military operations looks like such that the desire to take the Ukrainian Armed Forces into a “mousetrap” in Avdiivka could result in two “mousetraps” for the invaders in this direction.
Military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, instructor pilot Roman Svitan, in an interview with Channel 24, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are quite capable of completing such a task. Meanwhile, the network contains footage from Avdiivka showing how powerfully the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces are destroying Russian equipment.
"Mousetraps" for the Russians
Svitan noted that the occupiers are using meat rampart tactics. Losses of up to 1,500 Russians per day testify to this. In addition, the enemy lost 55 tanks and about 30 artillery barrels over the past 24 hours. This is not only in the Avdiivka direction, which means that the enemy is trying to attack on a broad front. At the same time, Ukrainian troops are putting pressure on the flanks of the invaders.
“Near Avdiivka, a situation may arise that north and south of the settlement itself, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may take Russians into 2 “mousetraps.” If there is such a task, then it is possible to cope with it by transferring more forces to this direction. The activity of the occupiers near Avdiivka will be observed for about another week,” said Roman Svitan.
