Ukrainian Forces Drove Invaders Back Near Kupiansk Capturing New Positions

20 Russian attacks were repulsed during the day.

Ukrainian soldiers repulsed 20 attacks during the day in the Lyman-Kupiansk front line: Sinkivka, Ivanivka, Serebrianska forestry, Spirne.

At the same time, the enemy carried out 13 airstrikes over the past 24 hours. This is 10 more airstrikes than the day before yesterday, noted Volodymyr Fityo, head of the public relations service of the command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Army Inform reports.

The representatives of the Ukrainian Ground Forces said that Ukrainian troops are not only defending themselves there but also, whenever possible, trying to improve their positions and push the enemy away from the line of contact.

At the same time, during the visit of the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, to the Kupiansk front line, certain decisions were made to strengthen manoeuvre defence tasks.

“Literally the day before yesterday, Col Gen Oleksandr Syrsky visited the positions of the Ukrainian forces on the Kupiansk front line. We know that the enemy is trying to attack our positions in this direction, but nothing is working. The commander of the Eastern Group of Forces discussed the current situation directly with the commanders of brigades and units in this direction, certain orders were given, and decisions were made to strengthen our manoeuvre defence tasks,” Fityo added.
