Israel Reveals Hamas Plans To Attack Europe

Israeli intelligence said Hamas had planned a series of attacks on Jewish and Israeli targets in Europe.

According to a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, the Foreign Intelligence Service (Mossad) and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), in cooperation with foreign partners, were able to establish “a comprehensive picture of HAMAS's terrorist activities” in Israel and abroad.

"Including information about the intention to attack the Israeli Embassy in Sweden with drones and the use of criminal elements in Europe," the report reads.

Hamas groups in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands were arrested in December on suspicion of plotting to attack Jewish targets in Europe.

Danish police said on December 12 that seven people suspected of involvement in planning a terrorist attack that law enforcement officers foiled in December had links to Hamas.

“The terrorist organization Hamas works tirelessly and exhaustively to expand its deadly operations in Europe, and thus poses a threat to the internal security of these countries,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
