Lithuanians Upset Lukashenka

The parties, which called for friendship with the Belarusian dictator, did not pass to the Seimas.

None of the parties with ambiguous attitude towards Russia and Lukashenka's regime passed to the Seimas of Lithuania.

Such parties include the Lithuanian People's Party of ex-presidential candidate Eduardas Vaitkus and the Peace Coalition, which was formed on the basis of the Labour Party headed by millionaire Viktor Uspaskikh.

Both parties received only 2 per cent of the vote each.

The threshold in Lithuania is 5 per cent for parties and 7 per cent for coalitions.
