A New Heat Wave Is Set To Sweep Across Belarus

The last ten days of October will surprise Belarusians with unseasonably warm weather. At the start of this period, air from the Mediterranean will flow into the country—temperatures may approach +20°C.

According to the Telegram channel “Meteovibe”, the weather in Belarus will improve on Tuesday, October 20. The Black Sea cyclone will weaken—rain is expected only in the southwest.

Meanwhile, warmer and drier air will move in from the southeast. During the day, there will be more sunny spells, with temperatures rising to +10..+16°C, and up to +18°C in the southeast.

On October 21–22, the influx of warm air will intensify as Mediterranean air moves in. According to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), temperatures may rise to +13..+19°C.

“Daytime temperatures will be 7–10°C above normal!” experts noted.

But by the end of next week, the influence of frontal systems will increase: the likelihood of rain will rise, and temperatures may, conversely, drop. However, as noted by “MeteoVibe,” the positive temperature anomaly will persist.

Colleagues from the Nadvorie Telegram channel add: the warm weather in Belarus will last at least until Sunday, October 25. And cyclones periodically emerging from the Atlantic will intensify the influx of warm air.
