The effects of the damage are visible from space.
Russian occupiers have set up a pontoon bridge near the damaged Chongar Bridge.
This is evidenced by satellite images from Planet Labs, which were made available to journalists from the "Schemes" project.
The satellite images show the aftermath of the strike on the Chongar Bridge, which connects the temporarily occupied Crimea with mainland Ukraine. In particular, the images show dark marks of damage in the central part of the bridge following a drone attack on the night of June 7.

The occupying “administration” of the Kherson region confirmed that traffic on the bridge had to be closed due to the attack. This is one of the key supply routes for Russian forces in southern Ukraine.
Journalists noted that the Russians likely prepared in advance for Ukrainian strikes on the Chongar Bridge. According to them, a pontoon bridge first appeared near this bridge back in June 2023, and the occupiers later concealed it.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko reported that the Chongar Bridge has been destroyed, and Russian authorities are attempting to cover up the situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubailo Dmytro Filatov “Perun” noted that following a second strike on the Chongar Bridge, Russia has lost yet another important logistics route between occupied Crimea and the Kherson region.
