The Ukrainian Armed Forces Sank A Tanker Belonging To The "shadow Fleet" In The Black Sea

And 18 ammunition depots were destroyed near St. Petersburg.

On the night of June 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a factory producing navigation systems for missiles and drones, an oil refinery in Samara, and a tanker belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet” in the Black Sea.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The tanker WEST Horizon was struck in the Black Sea. Damage to the propeller and rudder assembly has been confirmed—the vessel has lost its ability to move.

The WEST Horizon is a chemical tanker with a deadweight of over 50,000 tons. It is subject to sanctions from the UK, Ukraine, and Australia for transporting Russian oil in circumvention of international bans. The vessel is linked to the Turkish company Beks, which is part of the group owned by Turkish businessman Ali Bekmezci.

Previously, the tanker had repeatedly visited Russian ports—Novorossiysk, Tuapse, St. Petersburg—and had turned off its AIS transponder several times to conceal its route.

- The Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara - processes about 3.7 million tons of oil per year and supplies fuel to the Russian military.
