A Z-blogger Accidentally Leaked Information About An Oil Depot In Crimea
Ilya Tumanov

The Ukrainian Armed Forces blew it up immediately.

Russian military Telegram channels began publicly expressing outrage following Ukraine’s strike on fuel infrastructure near the Kerch Strait. The controversy was sparked by a post from Z-blogger Fighterbomber (former military pilot Ilya Tumanov), who wrote before the attack that “fuel has arrived in Crimea. A lot,” writes ‘Dialog’.

The very next night, Ukrainian drones struck the oil depot and crossing facilities, after which the Ukrainian Armed Forces set them ablaze.

Following the strike, another Russian Z-correspondent Vladimir Romanov sharply criticized Fighterbomber, effectively accusing him of tipping off Ukraine about a sensitive target. Discussions began on Russian channels about whether the post regarding the fuel delivery could have served as a tip-off.

People on social media are joking about the start of a civil war in Russia.

Ukrainian military personnel from drone units responded with irony. The 1st Separate USC account publicly thanked Fighterbomber for “assisting in the operation to destroy the oil terminal” in occupied Crimea.

Fighterbomber himself then began to make excuses and claim that he had not disclosed any military secrets. In his response, he rudely accused his critics of having “read too many Ukrainian social media posts” and claimed that the information about fuel deliveries was not classified.

Commentators note that the scandal has exposed a sense of unease within Russian military circles. Following the strikes on Kerch and the “Kavkaz” port, Z-channels are already debating not only the consequences of the attack but also who within the Russian propaganda apparatus is helping Ukraine identify weaknesses in its logistics.
