On the night of June 6, Ukrainian drones hit the Russian Baltic Fleet's Kronstadt naval base, which is 1,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
This was reported by Charter97.org with reference to Telegram of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and the AFU Special Operations Force.
"This war is time to end. But the Russian leader wants to go to war. That's why Ukrainian sanctions for this aggression are working. Last night our drones traveled about 1,000 kilometers to the St. Petersburg region - to the enemy's naval arsenals and base in Kronstadt ", Zelensky said.

Also, he said, Ukrainian long-range sanctions traveled about 500 kilometers to Krasnodar region and hit an oil depot.
"The results of joint work of the warriors of the AFU, SBU and GUR are important. Russia needs to end its war and stop the blows to life. Any manifestations of injustice against Ukraine will have a just response. Thank you to our warriors for their marksmanship," the Ukrainian president added.
The SDF confirmed that Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, along with the SSU and the SBU, hit the Russian Baltic Fleet's Kronstadt naval base near St. Petersburg.
Few SDF drones successfully reached their targets. A fire was recorded on the territory of the base.
"Kronstadt" is a symbol of the Russian Navy and a strategic element of the enemy's war machine. The base houses warships, submarines, training centers, repair docks and shipbuilding facilities.
"After Ukraine destroyed part of Russia's capabilities in the Black Sea, Kronstadt's importance in securing the enemy's military potential increased significantly. But now it is now the turn to burn one of the oldest naval bases of the Russian Federation," the SDF said.
