Zelenskyy Congratulated Trump On U.S. Independence Day

Ukraine and the United States are united by shared values, and American leadership today is the key to defending freedom around the world.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to "RBC-Ukraine" reported, citing his official Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that the American dream of an independent and free country has served as a guiding light for other nations for two and a half centuries. In particular, in the 20th century, it was U.S. assistance that saved the world from the rule of tyrants and laid the foundation for lasting peace.
Now, amid Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the Ukrainian people are fighting for their independence with the same energy with which Americans once fought for their own freedom.
Zelenskyy expressed his deep gratitude to the United States for its support and for providing critically important weapons.
“American weapons—from the ‘Javelins’ that U.S. President Donald Trump decided to provide to Ukraine, to the ‘Patriots,’ which most reliably protect the lives of our people—everything the United States has provided to help us defend our country demonstrates the strength of the American spirit,” the president noted.
He added that when Ukraine turns to America for the Patriot system, it believes in shared values that remain relevant today.
The head of state extended official greetings to Ukraine’s strategic partner on the occasion of its national holiday.
“I wish America a happy Fourth of July; I wish the President of the United States and all Americans nothing but success; and I wish all of us around the world who value America fruitful cooperation,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
At the end of his address, the president expressed confidence that, through close cooperation, free people will surely overcome evil and achieve lasting peace.
