A former Ukrainian minister is offering to help build a drone army.

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that he is ready to help the United States “create a drone army” in exchange for the delivery of missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine.

Fedorov made this statement in an interview with Financial Times.

According to the former defense minister, he is “very happy to help America build a drone army—especially in exchange for Patriot interceptor missiles, so that we can survive this winter.”

“I’m ready to make such an exchange,” he emphasized.

Fedorov also declined to comment on whether he plans to meet with representatives of Donald Trump’s administration in Washington.

On August 28, Fedorov announced that he had become an advisor to Italian Defense Minister Guido Crozetto on defense innovation. They have already discussed the development of drones, autonomous systems, air defense, and the defense tech ecosystem.

According to him, Crozetto personally invited him to join the effort as an advisor. In this role, Fedorov will help Italy develop modern defense technologies, improve its defense sector, and adapt to new security challenges.

The news that Crozetto had offered Fedorov the position of advisor emerged in late July. The minister told the newspaper La Repubblica that he called Fedorov the day after his dismissal. According to him, Fedorov was touched by the offer and took it as a sign of respect and friendship.
