Leader of small businessmen, Afghan war veteran decorated with Red Star order, “For courage” Medal and Medal of Honour For Combat Services, Mikalai Autukhovich was arrested on February 8, 2009 and baselessly charged with organizing arsons which took place back in 2005. Since April 16 the political prisoner held a hunger strike of protest in Minsk remand prison, demanding either to take his case to the court or to change the measure of restraint in this criminal case from imprisonment to a written undertaking not to leave the place. Over this time the person under investigation lost 30 kilograms of weight. He has become weak and emaciated. Every day he is given droppers.
