The chairman of the Belarusian Leftist party “Just World”, Syarhei Kalyakin comments on the visit of the KPRF leader to Belarus.
The chairman of the Belarusian Leftist Party “Just World” Syarhei Kalyakin has stated that the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) Gennady Zyuganov shouldn’t have come to Minsk during the presidential campaign and meet with Alyaksandr Lukashenka, writes “Belarusian partisan”.
“I think that Gennady Andreevich should not have come to Minsk at all. Lukashenka has probably decided to show that somebody still supports him in Russia. Zyuganov has made a mistake by coming here,” Syarhei Kalyakin said.
Earlier the Party of Communists of Belarus (at the moment, the Belarusian leftist Party “Just World”) and the KPRF had partnership, which was stopped in 1996.
“We do not maintain any relations with the KPRF, after in 1996 Gennady Zyuganov supported the anti-constitutional coup by Alyaksandr Lukashenka in Belarus,” Kalyakin added.
