The intensity of the fighting increased.
On the eastern front line, in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction in particular, the situation is complex and dynamic. The troops of the Russian Federation very intensively use Su-25 and Su-35 aircraft and Ka-52 and Mi-8 helicopters to bombard this territory, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces resist enemy assaults and inflict losses on the occupiers.
Head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ilya Yevlash announced this on the morning of October 5 on the air of “Mi - Ukraine”. He said that the intensity of hostilities in this area has increased somewhat.
Over the past 24 hours (October 4), eight clashes were recorded. “The enemy has chosen a new point — Makiivka, and is directing all efforts in this direction. All eight military clashes took place there,” the military man said.

According to him, within 24 hours 13 units of Russian military equipment were “demilitarized” and 122 occupiers were killed or wounded.

In particular, the enemy had two fewer T-72 tanks, five armored combat vehicles, and two cars.
Interesting targets for the Defense Forces in this direction were the Borisoglebsk electronic warfare station and the Zoopark reconnaissance and fire control radar complex. “They are very expensive, these stations,” Yevlash noted.
In total, in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction, the invaders have concentrated about 1,085 tanks, almost 2,000 armored combat vehicles, more than 700 artillery systems and 500 multiple launch rocket systems.
