Spain will recognize expired passports of Belarusians. This is reported by "Zerkalo" with reference to the instruction of the Director General of Migration Management and the Commissioner General for Foreigners and Borders of Spain.

Passports of Belarusian citizens, who are in Spain, will be recognized valid even after the expiration date - without the need to obtain a cédula de inscripción (certificate of registration).

"For the registration on the territory of the country by citizens of Belarus, who on the date of submission are in Spain, any permits and statuses provided by the legislation on foreigners, as well as for the issuance and delivery of the card of identification of foreigners, it is allowed to submit an expired passport," reads the instruction of the Spanish authorities.
