The mayor announced a massive attack on the Russian capital.

For the second night in a row, flights at Moscow airports are being diverted en masse amid massive drone attack. The mayor of the Russian capital reports that dozens of drones are attempting to attack Moscow, according to “Focus”.

More than 30 planes that were scheduled to land in Moscow were rerouted by the capital’s airports to other landing sites due to the restrictions that have been imposed. The Russian propaganda outlet “TASS” reported this around 1:00 a.m.

In particular, Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg received more than 20 planes, according to Russian media reports. Rosaviatsiya reported that restrictions have generally been imposed at three major Moscow airports: Zhukovsky, Vnukovo, and Sheremetyevo.

The mayor of the Russian capital Sergey Sobyanin also wrote about a massive drone attack on Moscow. According to him, the attack on the city began around midnight and continued for the next several hours.

During this time, Sobyanin posted several updates on his Telegram channel regarding the operations of Russia’s air defense forces. According to estimates by Russian media, from midnight to 3:00 a.m., air defense forces allegedly destroyed at least 75 drones in the Moscow area.

According to the mayor, “debris” is known to have fallen as a result of the attack. Emergency response specialists are on the scene. Sobyanin did not provide any further details.

As a reminder, on the night of October 13, Moscow’s airports were also “paralyzed” by a massive drone attack.
