Poland Has Provided Ukraine With Aid To Help Defend Kyiv

Zelenskyy made this announcement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Poland had provided a package of aid to help defend against Russian attacks, which includes classified components.

His remarks at the start of a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the sidelines of the EU summit were recorded by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

Donald Tusk, greeting the Ukrainian president, emphasized that Ukraine can count on Poland’s support.

“I would like to assure Ukraine, your people, and you personally—you are not alone… you can count on me, on Poland, and on the EU. “Following my talks here in Brussels with all the leaders, it is absolutely clear that anything that could help Putin and Russia in this war is unacceptable to Europe and Poland,” Tusk assured Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian president, in turn, thanked Poland for its support “in a political and geopolitical sense, as well as on many other issues.”

He also stated that there is unpublicized assistance that Ukraine has received from Warsaw, which should help protect Kyiv from Russian attacks.

“What you’ve done… “Well, sometimes this should remain between the two of us,” the Ukrainian president said, responding to the Polish prime minister’s gesture.

“But we are grateful, because it is very difficult to defend our country and our capital against massive attacks. And we’re grateful for that, as well as for the 20-millimeter ammunition (used for air defense—EuroPravda) and other supplies. That’s exactly what we’re currently asking various countries—all of Europe—for,” Zelenskyy said.

The president did not specify exactly what he meant, but it is known that Ukraine is currently asking all countries to provide interceptors capable of repelling ballistic attacks.
