On June 11, Alexander Lukashenko made a number of personnel appointments, according to a Telegram channel close to his press service. Specifically, Maksim Lysenko has been appointed the new Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. Prior to this, he served as First Deputy Minister in the same department. It is worth noting that the previous Minister of Natural Resources Sergei Maslyak was arrested.

Viktor Shchetko has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Industry. Previously, he served as an advisor to the Consulate General of Belarus in Kazan.

Alexander Postnikov, who previously served as deputy head of the Transport Department of the Council of Ministers’ Secretariat, will become Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications.

Some large state-owned enterprises also received new leaders. Mikhail Symonovich, who previously served as the company’s Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance, has been approved as General Director of the Belkommunmash holding company.

The Lidselmash holding company will be headed by Eduard Schall, who previously led the Lidaagroprommash enterprise.

Olga Anufrieva has become the new head of the “Belarus Today” publishing house. Previously, she headed the “Zvyazda” publishing house as director and editor-in-chief.

Lukashenko also approved the appointment of new chairmen of district executive committees. The Petrikov District will be headed by Yevgeny Shkrobot, and Andrei Klyshevsky will become chairman of the Oshmyany District Executive Committee.

Yevgeny Sobolevsky has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Libya on a concurrent basis, while Alexander Ogorodnikov — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Afghanistan concurrently.

Alexander Ivanitsky has been appointed Head of the Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety at the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Gennady Aktilovich will take up the post of head of the Main Directorate for Handling Appeals from Citizens and Legal Entities within Lukashenko’s Administration, while Yuri Khomutovsky will head the Directorate of Regional Policy within the same structure.

Oleg Sadovsky has been appointed chairman of the State Control Committee of the Gomel Region, and Alexey Iglikov has been appointed a member of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

Nadezhda Yurashevich has become deputy head of the Organizational and Analytical Department of the so-called Standing Committee of the “Union State,” and Olga Vasilevskaya—deputy head of the so-called Department of Social Policy and Information Support of the same committee.
