On the night of June 28, drones attacked the temporarily occupied Crimea. A series of explosions rocked Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Saki.
In Saki, a local thermal power plant (TPP) was attacked. This was reported by the monitoring channel “Crimean Wind”.
According to eyewitnesses, at least 16 explosions rocked the facility within an hour. Afterward, a fire and smoke were observed at the site. Footage of the attack on the Saki CHP was posted online.
It should be noted that, as of the time of publication, there had been no official confirmation of an attack on the thermal power plant in Saki.
In addition, explosions were heard overnight near the Russian military airfield “Saki” in Novofedorivka, according to analysts. However, no information has yet been reported on the consequences of possible strikes on the facility.
As for occupied Simferopol, explosions began to be heard there around midnight. Prior to that, according to eyewitnesses, drones were heard flying overhead, which local air defenses attempted to shoot down. According to preliminary reports, a fuel depot located near the train station was hit by drones in the city. After the attack, a glow and smoke were visible at the site.

Around 1:00 a.m., explosions were also heard in the Cape Fiolent area of Sevastopol, analysts reported. One of the explosions was so powerful that windows rattled in nearby homes, though there is no information yet on the consequences.
