Belarus Has Opened Embassies In Two Pariah States
Min Aung Hlaing and Alexander Lukashenko

Lukashists are establishing contacts with North Korea and Myanmar.

Belarusian embassies opened in October in Pyongyang (DPRK) and Naypyidaw (Myanmar), according to the Foreign Ministry’s press service.

Agreements on the opening of diplomatic missions in the DPRK and Myanmar were reached during Alexander Lukashenko’s talks with the leaders of those countries.

In August 2026, the head of Myanmar’s junta Min Aung Hlaing visited Belarus. The opposition publication Mizzima News Media reported that he negotiated with Lukashenko regarding arms deliveries.

In March 2026, Lukashenko visited Pyongyang, where he met with Kim Jong-un. They signed a cooperation agreement.
