Poland Will Conduct A Drill Simulating The Deployment Of Peacekeepers To Ukraine

These exercises will be the first of their kind.

In November, 1,500 European troops will conduct a drill in Poland to practice the deployment of forces to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire with Russia. This was reported by The Times.

These exercises will be the first of their kind. They are intended to prepare for a post-war scenario in which the presence of European troops on Ukrainian territory will serve as a deterrent. Military personnel from several countries, including France and Germany, will practice troop deployment and logistical support as part of a multinational peacekeeping operation.

According to the publication, at least 1,500 British, French, and German service members, as well as the Polish army, will take part in the exercises.

A source at the British Ministry of Defense said that the military will practice a scenario in which “multinational forces are stationed together in a specific area,” but declined to provide further details.

A high-ranking Polish official noted that the exercises will demonstrate the unity of Europe’s leading military powers in the face of the threat from Russia and the need for continued support for Ukraine.

British Defense Minister Wes Stritting stated in Washington that next month “thousands of military personnel will take part in large-scale exercises in Poland to ensure that we are ready to support the military training and post-war reconstruction that Ukraine will need.”
