Trump Said Whether Starmer Would Resign

The U.S. president criticized the British prime minister.

U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the future of British Prime Minister Kira Starmer, stating that he “will resign.”

This was reported by CNN.

“Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

According to the British news agency PA Media, Trump has not spoken with Starmer since the two leaders met at the G7 summit last week.

In his post, the U.S. president also criticized the British prime minister, stating that ineffective policies would lead to his political downfall.

“He has suffered a crushing defeat on two very important issues—immigration and energy,” Trump concluded, calling for the resumption of oil drilling in the North Sea.

Previously, the U.S. leader had repeatedly called on the British government to lift the moratorium on issuing new licenses for oil and gas exploration in the North Sea and had criticized British wind farms.
